To say that kids are the future of cycling would be a understatement. For that reason the Eastern Fat Tire Association (EFTA) is proud to announce that it has partnered with the New England High School Cycling Association (NEHSCA) to provide every NEHSCA registered athlete with a free annual racing license for 2017.
After learning of the news Kathy Robbin’s, League Founder and RI Director noted “This is such an amazing and generous contribution from EFTA and speaks highly to the dedication they have had to grassroots cycling in New England for the last 20 plus years. Both organizations are working together to introduce as many young athletes to mountain biking as possible.”
Mike Wissel of the EFTA board said “The Eastern Fat Tire Association has had a decades-long commitment to bringing up the next generation of New England racers. Recently, NEHSCA has given our young riders a fantastic opportunity to race against their peers in a well-organized and challenging series. To support and coordinate with their efforts, we will provide all NEHSCA athletes with unlimited access to EFTA races and events. We look forward to helping them realize their potential in a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment.”
All current 2017 register NEHSCA athletes will automatically receive an EFTA racing license number via email at the beginning of March.
